Our research focuses on studying marine diversity and the effects of environmental variations on organisms through the use of genomic tools.
The Functional Genomics Lab is part of the Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada. Our studies focus on the use of massive sequencing tools to describe patterns of marine diversity as well as studying the impacts of climate change, such as ocean warming and acidification, on physiological processes in marine organisms with ecological and economic relevance.
Our research lines
Effects of environmental fluctuations on marine species from a genomic and transcriptomic approach
Biological impacts of thermal variability and extreme weather on marine benthonic ectotherms
